Passage:  Ruth 3:1-18

Main Point:  The way to redemption has been revealed.

I. We have been shown how to approach God.
            A. God desires you.  (v.1-2)
            B. Rejecting God’s authority  separates you from God. (v.3-4)
            C. Believe God’s teaching.  (v.5-6)

II. God will set you free if you ask him.
            A. God is ready to accept you. (v.7-9)
            B. If you trust God, you have nothing to fear. (v.10-11)
            C. God provides the righteousness you lack.  (v.12-13)

III. Rest in the work Jesus did for you.
            A. Boaz’s work  results in Ruth’s rest. (v. 14a)
            B. God can protect and  provide for you. (v. 14b-17)
            C. Part of faith’s walk is sitting still. (v. 18)

Special thought: Give me what I want – that is just(ice), rather than Give me what I deserve.
