Passage: 1 Samuel 1:21-28

Main Idea: The good gifts of God call us to surrender our whole lives to Him.

I. Hannah and Elkanah commit to fulfil their vow to the Lord (v. 21-23).
            A. Hannah’s vow becomes Elkanah’s vow.
            B. The vow costs Hannah and Elkanah dearly.
            C. Elkanah leads Hannah to the Lord.

II. Hannah and Elkanah bring an abundant offering to the Lord (v. 24).
            A. Their journey is great. 
            B. Their offering is generous. 
            C. Their obedience is immediate.

III. Hannah and Elkanah dedicate Samuel to the Lord  (v. 25-28).
            A. They give back to the Lord what The Lord has given to them.
            B. Hannah testifies of the faithfulness of God.
            C. They respond to God in worship.

Application: How should we respond to the good gifts God gives us?
1. We should respond with humble gratitude.
2. We should respond with generous obedience.
3. We should respond with joyful surrender.
