Passage:  Ephesians 5:1-14

Big Idea:  Fulfillment is found as I worship Jesus with a submitted life.

I.  Jesus’ willing sacrifice was His act of worship. (1-2)
            A. Faith is where we start.
            B. Focus on Jesus and the cross.
            C. Follow His example.

II. Stop worshiping the idol of self. (3-6)
            A. I can be satisfied in Christ.
            B. I will speak of His goodness. (Col. 3:16; 4:6)
            C. In Christ I am not sinless, but I can sin less.

III. I worship God with how I live. (7-14)
            A. My words and deeds conceal or reveal Christ in me.
            B. When sin is exposed, we learn to say “Amen,” not “Oh no!”
            C. Embrace accountability.
            D. Let Jesus lead.
