Main Point:  No matter how confused we are, God is in control.

I. Daniel was given visions of the world’s kingdoms.
            A. The order of the kingdoms was revealed.  (Ch 2)
            B. The insanity of the king was revealed.  (Ch 4)
            C. The end of the Babylonian empire was seen.  (Ch 5)
            D. The rise of the Greek empire was seen.  (Ch 8)

II. Daniel was given visions of Israel’s future.  (9:20-27)
            A. Daniel discovers the prophecy in Jeremiah.  (9:1-2)
            B. God reveals His plans for Israel.  (9:20-23)
                        1. Israel is promised 70 weeks of years.
                        2. The clock starts with the decree to restore.
                        3. The clock ends with the tribulation.

III. God always has a perfect plan.
            A. Jesus arrived in Jerusalem on schedule.
            B. Jesus will return to gather His saints.
            C. God can always be trusted.
