The Cost of Thanksgiving (Psalm 146:1-10)

Passage:  Psalm 146:1-10

Main Point:  I want my life to be an act of worshiping the King who saved me.

I. Worshiping God begins with your heart. (v.1-2)
            A. Decide it is a worthwhile thing to do.
            B. Guard your praises from the competition of complaint.

II. We worship what works.  (v.3-6)
           
A. Human heroes and philosophies all fail.
            B. Trusting God can seem like a wrestling match.
            C. As you trust God, you learn how faithful he is.

III. Worship is simply loving God back with your life. (v.7-10)
            A. God loves you.
            B. You can afford to thank the God of grace.
            C. Let worship become an act of surrender to your King.
