Passage:  Revelation 3:1-6

Main Point:  Do not be defeated by the failure of others but serve God even if you serve alone.

I. Things are not always what they seem.   (1)
            A. The seven spirits describe the character of Jesus.  (Isaiah 11:2)
            B. The seven stars describe the command of Jesus.
            C. Jesus knows their true condition.

II. Seize the moment and rekindle the fire.   (2-3)
            A. Wake up and take care of your heart before God.
            B. Judgment comes swiftly so pay attention.

III. Serve the Lord wholeheartedly even if you stand alone.   (4-6)
            A. There is a remnant who trust God.
            B. Those who believe in Jesus are victors.  (1 John 5:5)
            C. It requires a willing heart to hear the Lord’s voice.
