Passage:  Mark 11:27-12:17

Main Idea:  Respond to God’s love by humbly worshiping Jesus.

I. Some people just don’t want Jesus. (27-33)
            A. Not all questions are honest.
            B. Jesus’ questions lead to the truth.
            C. Submit to what has already been revealed.

II. Jesus patiently warns the hard hearted. (1-12)
            A. The Old Testament recounts God’s mercy on the faithless.
            B. God expresses his love and expects repentance.
            C. When God’s patience runs out, destruction rushes in.

III. Jesus leads us to worship God. (13-17)
            A. Two mindsets are enemies of Christ.
                        1.  I am right, I won’t admit I was wrong.
                        2.  I can continue with sin, if it doesn’t hurt anyone.
            B. Christianity does not foster disloyalty to the state.
            C. I owe love and loyalty to the One who made me.
