Main Point:  God’s love is revealed by the greatness of His sacrifice.

I. Sacrifice is the proof of love for anyone.  (6-7)
            A. The helpless need help.
            B. Those who will sacrifice everything are rare.

II. God’s love is proven by His sacrifice.  (8)
            A. His love is on display.
            B. The depth of need shows the expanse of love.

III. God’s love results in a new future for the believer.  (9-11)
            A. Our salvation is secured.
            B. We are changed from enemy to friend.
            C. We are able to rejoice.
