Main Point:  Life is brief so live it well.

I. God is the Author of time and is eternal.  (1-2)
            A. God created time.
            B. God is eternally existing.

II. Mankind is mortal and lives briefly.  (3-11)
            A. A thousand years are like a day.
            B. Our lives are temporary.
            C. All humanity lives under judgment.

III. Live your life with eternal purpose.  (12-17)
            A. Learn to number your days to gain wisdom.
            B. Learn to trust God for everything.
            C. Rest in the care God provides for you.
