Main Point:  All History flows to the coming of Christ, the cross and His reign.

I. Genesis sets the stage for man’s wrestling match with God. (1-8)
            A. Trust God to bring about His plan in His time in his way.
            B. The world demands my conformity to its unity.
            C. God prepares me for a spiritual war.

II. Edom’s rebellion ends at the cross. (v.9-43)
            A. God always intended to show mercy to Edom.  (Deut. 23:7a)
            B. Opposing God has a history of disaster.
            C. Jesus will rule Edom and all mankind.
                  (Obadiah 21; Amos 9:12; Acts 15:17)

III. I can rest as His-story unfolds
            A. Tell others about faith in Christ for forgiveness of sins.
            B. Difficult times test my faith and perseverance.
            C. Take time to worship our wonderful God.
