Passage:  Romans 11:11-16

Main Point:  God will accomplish His purposes in His people.

I. God is not surprised by our failure. (v 11)
            A. Israel has stumbled.  
                        1. They rejected Jesus.   Rom 9:33
                        2. They rejected faith.    Rom 10:3
                        3. They are defiant.        Rom 10:21
            B. Israel has not been abandoned.  

II. God works even our failure into His success.  (v 12-14)
            A. The Gentiles were blessed.  
            B. The Gospel is preached.  
            C. Israel is made jealous.  

III. God calls us to trust and obey.  (v 15-16)
            A. Small blessings will lead to large ones.  
            B. God always keeps His promises.
