Passage: Romans 12:8-16

Main Point: Love in the body means helping one another grow in Christ.
I. God loves His church.
A. He has redeemed us. (Rom 1-11)
B. We respond in surrender to Him. (Rom (12:1)
C. The church ministers to one another. Rom (12:5)
II. God gifts His church. (v 6-15)
A. The gift of prophecy – boldly speaking truth. (v 9)
B. The gift of serving – working at loving others. (v 10)
C. The gift of teaching – helping saints understand. (v 11)
D. The gift of exhortation – helping others succeed.
-These practice hope, patience, persistence. (v 12). (Encourage)
E. The gift of giving – finding funds for ministry.
-These are generous, wise, hospitable. (v 13)
F. The gift of leading – organize the work efficiently.
-These are diligent, forgiving, hopeful. (v 14)
G. The gift of mercy – tenderness toward everyone.
-These are cheerful, compassionate. (v 15)
III. The church grows together in Christlikeness. (v 16)
A. The body of Christ should work in unity. (Agreement)
B. The body of Christ embraces humility. (Do not be proud)
