Passage:  Luke 1:26-56

Main Point:  Christmas is a time to joyfully worship the long-awaited King.

I. Our great King came in humiliation.  (v 26-33)
            A. As my pride dies, I see God’s power to keep His promises.
            B. Christmas is humanity’s Cinderella-story.
            C. Our Christmas photo album has pictures of our future.

II. Grace must be matched with faith.  (v 34-48)
            A. There is no salvation without the virgin birth and incarnation.
            B. What was unbelievable inspires worship.
            C. The worshipful  heart becomes the obedient heart.

III. We have fellowship with God and other believers.  (v 39-45)
            A. God is the encourager of faith.
            B. Loudly proclaim and carefully explain that Christ is Lord.
            C. Ask God to increase your faith.

IV. We worship the faithful God who saves sinners.  (v 46-56)
            A. Mary’s worship was Bible-informed.
            B. Worship joyfully and pray thankfully.
            C. The more I know God, the more confident I am in Him.
