Passage:  Nehemiah 4:1-23

Main Point:  We are ready to answer the call of our awesome God.

I. God’s people face opposition when they do His work. (1-6)
            A. People are not the enemy.
            B. Respond to opposition in prayer and perseverance.
            C. Have a mind for the mission.

II. Respond with encouraging words and faith. (7-14)
            A. The enemy deals in rumors and conspiracies.
            B. We are all in the fight.
            C. As they shored up the walls, Nehemiah shored up the people.

III. We focus on the work while ready for the fight. (15-23)
            A. The work will be hard.
            B. Be ready for the call.
            C. Our victory is in the Lord.
