Passage:  Genesis 2, 3; Romans 5

Main Point:  God’s plan for redemption began before creation.

I. Humanity was created in perfection.   (Genesis 2:7-23)
            A. Adam was created from the dust of the ground.
            B. Adam was given one command to obey.
            C. Eve was created from the same DNA.

II. Perfection was spoiled by rebellion.  (Genesis 3:1-19)
            A. Temptation comes in unexpected ways.
            B. God’s Word is wisdom in the face of temptation.
            C. Rebellion has bitter consequences.

III. Rebels are redeemed by a loving Savior.  (Romans 5:12-19)
            A. God made Adam the head of all.
            B. Jesus became the head of all who believe.
            C. Each must choose either death or life.
