Main Point:  Baptism is identifying with the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

I. What is the meaning of Baptism?
            A. Baptism literally means To Submerge, and metaphorically it means To Identity With.
            B. Water baptism is an outward expression of an inward reality.

II. Why is Baptism so important?
            A. Not because baptism saves you.
            B. Jesus commanded us to be baptized.
            C. Baptism publicly declares your allegiance to Jesus Christ.
            D. Baptism publicly celebrates our shared salvation.
