Main Idea:As I learn who I am in Christ, my confidence and peace increase.

I. God’s disposition toward believers is revealed in Christ.
            A. In Christ, I am loved by God. (Eph 1:1-18; cf. Rom. 5:8)
            B. In Christ, I have power over sin and death. (v.20; cf. Rom. 8:12-13)
            C. In Christ, I have strength to resist the devil’s spiritual attacks. (v.21; 2:6; 6:10-12)

II. Union with God (that Adam lost) is restored in Christ.
            A. As the head, Jesus fills, builds, and provides for His body. (v.22-23; cf. 1:10; 4:10-12)
            B. Discover how vital Jesus is to daily living. (Col. 1:15-18)
            C. The Creator is our Brother. (v.19-20)

III. Let the peace of Christ reign in your life.
            A. Consider how undeserving and unable each of us is. (v.21)
            B. Consider how God sees you, in Christ. (v.22)
            C. Respond by putting on Christ.  (v.23; Eph. 4:23-24)
