Main Point:  Life today depends of a clear view of what is to come.

I. The true measure of a well-lived life is in eternity.
            A. Following Christ requires denying self.
            B. Living for self leads to loss.
            C. Living for Christ leads to real reward.

II. The transfiguration is a preview of the future.
            A. They saw Jesus transformed.
            B. The kingdom will be a place of joy.
            C. God’s voice confirms the disciples’ choice.

III. The telling is delayed.
            A. Jesus tells them to wait until the resurrection.
            B. We plan for the unseen with eyes of faith.
