Passage:  Revelation 5:1-7

Main Point:  The story of the whole world is centered on Jesus Christ.

I. The scroll contains the solution for earth’s problem.   (1-3
            A. The scroll is held by God—the Father.
                        1.  Written inside and out—
                        2.  It is sealed with 7 seals—
                        3.  It contains the solution for the world—
            B. A powerful angel asks who is worthy to open it.

II. John weeps until One Who is worthy comes forward.   (4-5)
            A. John sobbed because no one was found.
            B. An elder points to the Lion of Judah.

III. John turns and sees the Lamb.   (6-7)
            A. John saw a lamb who had been slain.
            B. The Lamb had seven horns, a symbol of authority.
            C. The Lamb had seven eyes, a symbol of knowing all.
