Main Point: God offers hope in the middle of darkness.
I. The Lord is forever on His throne.
A. Ezekiel is a prophet to the captives. (v 1:1-3) (in Babylon)
B. Ezekiel is given visions by God. (v 1:4-21)

II. Opposing God only leads to hardships.
A. Ezekiel declares the truth.
1. Prophecy of the brick. (v4:1-3)
2. Prophecy of the hair. (v5:1-3)
3. Prophecy of the baggage. (v12:3-6)
4. Prophecy about trembling. (v12:17-19)
B. Ezekiel shows the Lord’s departure from the temple.
Exodus 40:34 The glory fills the Tent of Meeting.
1 Kings 8:10-12 The glory fills Solomon’s Temple.
Ezekiel 9:3 Moves from the ark to the doorway.
Ezekiel 10:18-19 Moves from the doorway to above the city.
Ezekiel 11:23 Moves from the city to the Mount of Olives.
Ezekiel 43:4-5 Refills the new temple in the Millennium.
III. God’s grace always wins in the end.
A. Ezekiel sees the valley of dry bones. (v 37:1-3)
B. God causes the bones to live again. V 37:7-10)
C. God promises to rebuild the nation. (v 37:21-23)
