The Invisible War (Daniel 10 & 11)

Main Point:  Forces of evil cannot defeat a life rooted in prayer.

I. Daniel grieves for Israel’s condition.
            A. The people are beginning to return home.  (Ezra 2:64)
            B. Daniel was burdened and so he prayed.
            C. Great needs call for great prayer.  (Numbers 11:10-15, 2 Kings 19:14-19, John 17:1-26)

II. Prayer leads to power over darkness.
            A. There is conflict in the heavens.  (Ephesians 6:10-12)
            B. Daniel’s prayer continued for 3 weeks.
            C. The angel was helped by Michael.
                        1.  Angels have intellectAngels desire to look into these things.  (1 Peter 1:12)
                        2.  Angels have emotion.  There is joy in the presence of God’s angels.  (Luke 15:10)
                        3.  Angels have willI will …..   (Isaiah 14:12-15)

III. Answered prayer leads to understanding.
            A. Daniel prayed for the future of Israel.
            B. The angel gives a detailed prophecy.  (Chapter 11)
