Passage:  Romans 7:14-25

Main Point:  The sin nature is at war with the spiritual but God has a plan.

I. There is a battle within me.  (14-17)
            A. The law is spiritual but the flesh is not.
            B. This is proven by my struggle.
            C. The behavior is explained but not excused.

II. There is a battle within me.  (18-20)
            A. The desire to do good lacks the ability.
            B. Not just conflict but conflict between good and evil.
            C. The sin within is a tyrant.

III. There is a battle within me.  (21-25)
            A. I want to do good but sin lives in me.
            B. My inner self seeks good but my flesh fails.
            C. The cry is for help to live well.
