Passage:  Colossians 1:24-29

Main Point: We invite the world to be mature in Jesus Christ.

I. The body of Christ suffers in the name of Christ.  (v 24)
            A. Saints have suffered for two millennia.
            B. Saints bear the persecution not the work of the cross.
            C. Perspective allows joy in the face of persecution.

II. The suffering church declares reconciliation with God.  (v 25-27)
            A. The church invites all people to faith in Christ.   Acts 15:9
            B. The mystery has now been revealed:  everyone come!

III. The church presses ahead with the Great Commission.  (v 28-29)
            A. We warn and we teach and we present.
            B. Christ in us ensures His power in us as well.
