Passage:  Philippians 3:1-14

Main Point:  Choose joy because faith in Jesus is more than enough.

I. We rejoice because we are confident in Jesus Christ.  (v 1-3)
            A. We believe in the simple sufficiency of Christ.
            B. We guard against false teaching.
            C. We look for heart – change not behavior modification.

II. We rejoice because we value knowing Jesus Christ.  (v 4-11)
            A. The Christian life is not a contest.
            B. Put an end to worry by knowing Jesus more.
            C. Make knowing Jesus your personal pursuit.
                        1. Faith in Christ results in imputed righteousness.
                        2. Faith in Christ results in freedom from sin.
                        3. Faith in Christ results in eternal life.

III. We rejoice because of the great hope we have in Jesus.  (v 12-14)
            A. Past sins and good accomplishments no longer matter.
            B. Chase after Jesus because you already belong to Him.
