Passage:  Psalm 42:1-43:5

Main Point:  When I feel far from God, I can draw near through faith.

I. Long for God. (v.1-5)
            A. Life without God is meaningless.
            B. You were made to worship.
            C. Sin and suffering get in the way.

II. Remember God. (v.6-11)
            A. God helps me worship Him in difficult times.  (Zephaniah 3:17)
            B. The enemy attacks your identity in Christ.
            C. Jesus knows what the attack feels like.  (Matthew 27:41-43)

III. Hold-fast, trusting in God! (43:1-5)
            A. The cross is the ultimate picture of worship.
            B. Jesus is our worship leader.
            C. Faith in God produces a confident hope.
