Main Point:  Jesus was promised long ago to be your Savior and your King.

I. The birth of Jesus is more than a nice story.
            A. It really happened.
            B. It was a miracle.
            C. God had you in mind.

II. Jesus was promised from the beginning of time.
            A. God promised a man to defeat our enemy.  (Genesis 3:15)
            B. God promised to live with us.  (Genesis 9:27)
            C. God promised to bless us through  son of Abraham.  (Genesis 12:3; 22:18; 28:14)
            D. God promised us a king who would never die.  (Genesis 49:8-12, 2 Samuel 7:12-16)

III. God’s promised provision is perfect.
            A. God promised so you would have hope.
            B. God promised so you would have faith.
            C. God promised because He loves you.
