Passage:  Philippians 4:4-13

Main Point:  Contentment is learned by trusting in Jesus.

I. Knowing Jesus enables you to have peace in all situations. (v 4-7)
            A. Enjoy your relationship with Jesus.
            B. Other people are not the enemy.
            C. Remember that God is always in control.

II. Walking with Jesus preserves the peace God gives. (v 8-9)
            A. Your thought – life can rob you of contentment.
            B. Doubt and deception can rob you of peace.
            C. Disobedience can rob you of joy.

III. Contentment grows as you trust God. (v 10-13)
            A. God uses every trial in the school of faith.
            B. God empowers the believer to handle any situation.
