Passage: Ephesians 6:15

Main Idea: Peace with God gives me confidence and joy in all circumstances.

I. Peace with God is our firm foundation.
            A. Through Adam’s sin, we all lost our footing.
            B. Peace requires trusting God.
            C. Peace has a high price.
            D. Messiah was promised to bring peace to our chaos.

II. Jesus is our peace.
            A. He secured it.
            B. He gives us His peace. (Jn. 14:27-31; 16:23-33; 20:19-23)
            C. He provides it now to those who turn to Him. (Rom. 5:1-2; Gal. 5:22; Phil. 4:6-9)

III. Stand in joyful confidence.
            A. Be Gospel F.A.T. – Flexible, Available, Teachable. (1 Pet. 3:15)
            B. Anxiety is a target for demonic attack (Phil. 4:6-9), so…
                        1.) Delight in the Lord and rejoice (v.4)
                        2.) Pursue peace through humility and patience with others (v.5)
                        3.) Peace comes when we pray and praise God. (v.6-7)
                        4.) Focus on truth and righteousness. (v.8)
                        5.) Do what is right; imitate Christ. (v.9)
