Passage:  Mark 4:21-41

Main Point:  Turn and trust in Jesus, who is God Almighty and Salvation.

I. We proclaim a powerful salvation revealed in Christ. (21-25)
            A. Jesus compares the fruit-giving Gospel to a light-giving lamp.
                   (cf. Psalm 119:105; Ephesians 3:9; Colossians 1:26)
            B. Listen to the truth with a desire to understand.
            C. Receive Jesus as your Savior before it is too late.

II. God will grow His kingdom to eclipse all other powers. (26-34)
            A. God causes all Kingdom growth.  (1 Corinthians 3:7)
            B. Don’t underestimate what God can do in and through you.
            C. Don’t underestimate the fury of eternity without God.

III. Jesus is the good and powerful God of the universe. (35-41)
            A. Frightened fishermen accused Jesus of being hardhearted.
            B. Jesus gently exposes my need to trust Him more.  (cf. John 21:17)
            C. Jesus is greater than I imagined Him to be.
            D. Respond with awestruck worship.
