Passage:  Genesis 45:3-8; 51:20; Proverbs 3:5-6

Main Point:  You can trust God whole-heartedly in every situation.

I. God is always in control.
            A. Joseph did not live out his own dreams.
            B. Sin is not from God.  (cf. Psalm 5:4, James 1:13)
            C. God’s grace brings order to evil’s chaos.
            D. God acts according to His plan, for His people.  (Genesis 45:5)

II. Trust God in every situation.
            A. Joseph was humbled and tempted.
            B. God prepared Joseph to be Prime Minister of Egypt.
            C. Joseph understood God’s plan after 22 years.
            D. Let God handle it.

III. God’s goal is your heart.
            A. Trusting in God enabled Joseph to forgive.  (Genesis 50:20)
            B. Every Bible Story is about Jesus.  (Genesis 38)
            C. The point (telos) of everything God does is Jesus.  (Proverbs 3:5-6)
