Someday “That Day” Will Come (Jude 5-11)

Main Point:  God’s patience must not be confused with God’s punishment.

I. God has a record of dealing with rebellion.  (v 5-7)
            A. He judged the worshipers of the golden calf.
            B. He judged the angels who deserted heaven.
            C. He erased the cities of sin in Canaan (Sodom & Gomorrah) .

II. God is consistent in His patience and punishment.  (v 8-10)
           
A. False teachers continue to resist God.
            B. Wicked people do not learn from the past.
            C. These are like animals and bring harm on themselves.

III. God’s judgement is on His timing, not ours.  (v 11)
            A. God exposes the emptiness of religion.
            B. God knows about those who manipulate for money.
            C. God is opposed to those who oppose His work.
