Passage:  Philippians 4:1-9

Main Point:  We live together in mind-blowing peace, rooted in knowing Jesus.

I. We are to pursue the peace God provides.  (v 1-3)
            A. See yourself in light of eternity.
            B. Jesus invites you to join in what He is doing.
            C. God’s family is marked by merciful relationships.

II. God teaches us how to gain the peace He provides.  (v 4-7)
            A. Enjoy your relationship with Jesus.
            B. Following Jesus results in a sweet reasonableness.
            C. Let Jesus participate in your life through prayer and praise.
            D. Trusting in Jesus results in mind-blowing peace of mind.

III. God promises lasting peace to all who follow Jesus.  (v 8-9)
            A. Satan’s lie:  Jesus is not enough, there’s something more!
            B. Satan’s lie:  It is somebody’s else’s fault!
            C. God’s call:  Study and respond to God’s Word.
            D. God’s promise:  The peace of Christ does not disappoint.
