Passage:  Genesis 15:1-21

Main Point:  Faith that works begins by resting in the promises of God.

I. God’s Word gives me a corrected vision of reality.  (1-3)
            A. God can remove fear and doubt with His presence..
            B. Jesus is my abundant reward.
            C. Surrender fear and yield to confidence in the Son of God.

II. God will accomplish the work He started in you. (4-6)
            A. “Sonship” gives all believers full access to God. (Romans 8:14-17)
            B. God’s promises are to be believed and acted upon.
            C. Righteousness is only gained by faith in Jesus Christ.

III. God loves you unconditionally. (7-21)
            A. God wants to help us believe.
            B. God’s is patient and perfectly just.
            C. Jesus paid the cost covenant breaking.  (Psalm 15:4)
            D. Genesis 15 is Israel’s title deed to the land.
