Passage:  Colossians 1:21-23

Main Point: The Gospel calls us to a lifelong journey of discovery and sharing.

I. Before – We were lost and confused.  (v 21)
            A. Without Christ we were aliens.
            B. Without Christ we were confused and often hostile.
                   (Prayers not always answered as we want or expect, we then become hostile)

II. Then – We have been set free.  (v 22)
            A. We are brought into a perfect relationship”.
            B. Our judgment was taken by another.
            C. Jesus was our substitute. 
                 (Jesus died to take our place)

III. Now – We tell others to trust in Jesus.  (v 23)
            A. We grow and nurture our faith.
            B. We declare the gospel to others.
