Passage:  John 12:1-19

Main Point:  Worship Jesus, the humble King given to you by God.

I. Jesus is the anointed King.  (1-11)
            A. He became a fragrant offering to God for my sin.  (Ephesians 5:2; 2 Corinthians 2:14-16)
            B. The time to worship Jesus is now.

II. Jesus is the promised King. (12-16)
            A. When God makes a promise, he keeps it.  (John 11:25)
            B. God arranged every detail of Jesus’ coming, not man.  (Zechariah 9)

III. Jesus is the Passover Lamb who takes way your sin. (17-19)
            A. In order to be sacrificed, Jesus had to be rejected.
            B. God receives me because Jesus was rejected.
            C. Now, receive the King.
