Walking With The Weak (Romans 14:1-12)

Passage:  Romans 14:1-12

Main Point:  Maturity leads to humility in loving the less mature.

I. Avoid meaningless arguments.  (v 1-6)
            A. Do not judge another by what they eat.  
                        1. Do not enter into trivial arguments.  
                        2. The old testament rules were for the Israelites and no longer apply.  
            B. Do not judge another by the days they keep.  

II. We are all under the authority of Christ.  (v 7-9)
            A. In all things we belong to the Lord.  
                        1. Don’t butt into areas that are not our business, but God’s,
                      such as an outsider butting into a family matter.  
            B. The Lord rules over the dead and the living.  

III. Each believer will give an account.  (v 10-12)
            A. We will all stand before God.  
                        1. We will be judged by what we did.  
            B. We will all give an account to God.
