Passage:  Genesis 20:1-18

Main Point:  Shine the light on sinful patterns and choose to walk in holiness, by faith.

I. Choose between walking in faith or running in fear.  (v.1-2)
            A. Keep watch for “been there done that” attitudes.
            B. Abraham’s fear threatened the promised blessing.

II. “Good” people are dead in sin without faith in Jesus. (v.3-8)
            A. God knows my heart and mind.
            B. God uses saved sinners to lead sinners to Jesus.
            C. True repentance requires humility.

III. Salvation by faith is not undone by my sinful patterns. (v.9-18)
            A. God used Abimelech to rebuke Abraham’s sin.
            B. A holy God cannot bless self-focused, faithless living.
            C. If God saves sinners, you know he will save his kids
            D. Salvation by faith is irrevocable—you can’t lose it or undo it!
