Main Point:  Prayer helps me seek God’s will from a place of contentment.

I. Jesus teaches us to pray.
            A. The disciples watched Jesus pray.
            B. Jesus revolutionized how we relate to God: Our Father.

II. Jesus leads us to make our Father’s interests our own.
            A. God will accomplish His plan in His time, in His way.
            B. We want the world to know God as the loving Father.
            C. We want Jesus to rule in hearts and on earth.
            D. Prayer is surrender.

III. Focusing on God enables me to petition confidently.
            A. The God who provides for my eternity can provide for my day.
            B. Forgiveness is the foundation God provides for all relationships.
            C. A loving Father continually watches over his kids.
