Passage:  Genesis 26:1-35

Main Point:  God leads me through conflict, teaching me to rely on His blessing, promise and peace.

I. In the face of hardship, focus on the promise of God. (1-11)
            A. God guides me through trials, but I must respond with trust.
            B. God’s blessing to me is based on the merit of Jesus Christ.
            C. Acting on fear rather than faith harms others.

II. Trusting in God requires diligence. (12-22)
            A. I must learn that God’s grace is greater than all my sin..
            B. We experience God’s blessing in the midst of conflict.
            C. Don’t let the enemy fill in your wells – study, serve, sing!

III. The power of God is visible in those who walk by faith. (23-35)
            A. Fear flees and faith grows as we praise our great God.
            B. God’s blessing and Isaac’s persistence spoke to Abimelech.
            C. I can have abiding peace in life’s ongoing storms.
