Passage:  Romans 16:21-27

Main Point:  The wisdom of God brings the power of God to our rescue.

I. God works through people.  (v 21-24)
            A. Every building is only a tool.
                    (Church is people not buildings)
            B. Every person is an eternal being.
                        1. V21 – Timothy is the Timothy of 1&2 Timothy, were written
                      by Paul to Timothy.
                        2. Acts 13:1-3 – Lucius Paul’s 1^st journey.
                        3. Acts 20:4 – Sosipater – Paul’s 3^rd journey.
                        4. Gal 4:15 – Paul had eye problems – why he used Tertius.

II. God has the power people need.  (v 25-26)
            A. People have tried to obtain power.
            B. Real power comes from God via grace.
                        1. It was a mystery.
                        2. It is now revealed in the gospel.
                        3. It is a message of hope for all nations.

III. God’s good news for people displays His wisdom.  (v 27)
            A. The world’s religions flounder in human effort.
            B. God alone is glorified by His perfect plan.
