Passage:  Genesis 45-47

Main Point:  We worship the wonderful God who restores life & revives hearts.

I. God’s revelation is for our restoration (Ch. 45)
            A. God reveals his sovereign hand so I will see His grace in my life.
            B. God is restoring the blessing lost because of sin.  (9-20)
            C. The weary, numb heart is restored by trusting God.

II. God’s plan is to restore blessing. (46-47:12)
            A. God provided a place to preserve and prosper Israel.
            B. Jesus, the Son of Judah, was sent to be the Way to the Father.
            C. Jacob’s deception resulted in life-long consequences. (cf. Deuteronomy 5:15)
            D. God uses brokenness to bring healing and blessing.

III. God’s blessing is to restore life. (13-31)
            A. God provided Joseph with the wisdom to save many lives.
            B. Gods’ creation blessing was the multiplication of life. (cf. Genesis 1:28)
            C. The world is blessed through Abraham’s son, Jesus.
