Passage:  Eph. 2:19-22

Main Idea:  As believers, our new position in Christ makes us a part of God’s eternal kingdom.

I.  We have been made citizens in God’s kingdom.
      A. As citizens we receive protection, access, and freedom.
      B. As citizens we are duty-bound to serve the king, obey the king, and bear fruit.
      C. As citizens we are ambassadors of the Kingdom of God.

II.  In Christ we have been brought into God’s family.
      A. As family members we have intimate relationship with God and with one another.
      B. As family members we are intimately involved with the family, and we are called to grow the family.
      C. As family members we find our identity in Jesus Christ.

III.  In Christ we are being built into a holy temple.
      A. We have been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Jesus as our chief cornerstone.
      B. We are joined together in Christ.
      C. We are growing into a holy sanctuary in the Lord.
      D. We are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit.
