Passage:  Colossians 1:18-20

Main Point: God Himself has dealt with the separation between God and man.

I. Jesus holds the first place in everything. (v 18)
            A. He is the head of the church.  (Gnosticism)
            B. He is the first raised from the dead.  (Born)
            C. He is preeminent over all.

II. Jesus is the fullness of God in man. (v 19)
            A. God’s plan was the incarnation.
            B. Jesus is fully man and fully god.
            C. The Godhead’s communion with us is perfect.

III. Jesus reconciled us by offering Himself. (v 20)
            A. Jesus has restored our relationship.  (reconciled)
            B. Jesus has made peace by His blood.
            C. Jesus has made everything right.
