Passage:  Mark 14

Main Idea:  In the war for your heart, and the only way to victory is surrender.

I. Worship Jesus extravagantly.
            A. Mary did not hold back in honoring Jesus.
            B. Worship is a personal and corporate response.
            C. Worship Jesus who died for my unfaithfulness.

II. Guard against worshiping something else.
            A. Judas worshiped his own agenda and earthly gain.
            B. Don’t despise another’s expression of worship.
            C. Make Jesus a priority in all things.

III. God is bringing us to the point of full surrender.
            A. Peter promised he would be faithful to Jesus. (v19, 29)
            B. Jesus experienced my unfaithfulness alone.  (32-42)
            C. A step in faithfulness is reading the Bible. (v.21, 27, 49)
            D. A step in faithfulness is admitting my helplessness.
            E. A step in faithfulness is trusting He will provide as I go.
