Passage:  Psalm 22-24

Main Idea:  Worship the crucified and risen and coming King, Jesus Christ!

I. The Good Shepherd laid down His life. (Psalm 22)

            A. The Shepherd became the Lamb.  (cf. Isaiah 53:7; John 1:29, 36)
            B. Jesus took my place.
            C. I have hope because sin and death lost.

II. The Great Shepherd guides us in this world. (Psalm 23)
            A. Jesus blazed my personal trail of trusting.
            B. Psalm 23 is a lesson, a prayer and a praise.
            C. Rejoice because of the Resurrection.

III. The Chief Shepherd will return in glory and power. (Psalm 24)
            A. I need a righteousness that is not my own.  (cf. Psalm 15)
            B. Declare the good news of the coming King!
            C. I will prepare my heart for the coming King!
