Passage:  Jonah 1:1-17

I. We do not get to pick the timing or the people we are called to speak into.
            A. Life can throw curveballs at any moment good or bad.
            B. Nineveh was evil and Jonah hated them with a passion.
            C. Nineveh today is whatever pulls you out of your comfort bubble with God.

II. When we turn from God’s will the only direction we can go is down!
            A. Rebellion leads us in the direction of down.
            B. The heart of the reluctant servant will always turn on God.
            C. The path away from Gods will starts at the point of disobedience.

III. God will allow you to run.
            A. It is the patience of God that allows us to run away
            B. It is the wisdom of God that provides the ship.
            C. It is the providence of God that sends the storm.
            D. It is the kindness of God that sends the great fish.
