Looking Good In The Kingdom Of God (Matthew 18:1-14)

Passage:  Matthew 18:1-14

Main Point:  Greatness in the Kingdom is living in humility and care.

I. Greatness is measured by humility.  (1-5)
            A. The disciples wondered about greatness.
            B. Humility is the key to greatness.
                        1.  Humility is required to enter the kingdom.
                        2.  Humility is required to live in the kingdom.
                        3.  Humility is required to honor Jesus.

II. Woe to those who sabotage humility.  (6-9)
            A. Some target believers.
                        1.  They set a trap based on humility.
                        2.  They would be better off being drowned.
            B. Some use the challenges of life.
                        1.  There are trials in life.
                        2.  Using trails for offense will be judged.
                        3.  It is better to be maimed than burn.

III. Care for the children.  (10-14)
            A. Their angels have access to God.
            B. Their struggles are our priority.
            C. God’s will is that none perish.
