Passage:  1 Corinthians 4:1-21

Main Point:  Those who want to serve the church must be humble.

I. Our work is judged by the Lord.  (1-5)
         A. We have responsibilities given to us.
                  1.  We are servants of Christ.
                  2.  We are stewards of truth.
         B. Our service is not judged by others.
         C. The Lord is the One who judges.

II. Don’t go beyond what the Lord has said.  (6-13)
         A. Doctrine comes from the Lord.
         B. Our place is to serve right now.
                  1.  Someday we will see our reward.
                  2.  Today we serve faithfully.

III. Listen to those who can help you.  (14-21)
            A. Some bring great value to your life.
            B. Never yield to pride.
