Passage:  Genesis 38:1-30

Main Point:  The Bible is all about Jesus who came to make me all about Him.

I. God interrupts my story so I won’t miss His main point. (v.1-11)
            A. Partner with those who hope in Jesus.
            B. Cultivate a love for doing what is right.
            C. Identify obstacles to courageous faith in Christ.

II. God’s story is about providing a Savior for sinners. (v.12-26)
            A. Victimhood does not justify sinful methods.
            B. Sin patterns replace my identity in Christ with feelings of shame.
            C. Judah’s guilt makes him more judgmental and less merciful.
            D. Revival in my life begins with confession and repentance.

III. I will make Jesus the main point of my life-story. (27-30)
            A. Life transformation starts with a faith-relationship with Jesus..
            B. Holy living is both a work of the Spirit, and my step of faith.
