Passage:  Mark 10:13-31

Main Point:  God accomplishes my salvation by grace; I enter it by faith.

I. Have faith like a child. (13-16)
            A. No concern or person is too small for our great God.
            B. Accept Jesus with childlike trust and dependence.
            C. If it was by works, it is not salvation.

II. Have Jesus as your only justification. (17-27)
            A. Our first order of business is always the heart.
            B. The law still reminds us of our need for the cross.
            C. Repent and believe in Jesus to be saved.
            D. The rich man’s problem is mine: I can’t afford salvation.

III. Have Jesus as your motivation. (28-31)
            A. Stop focusing on material loss or gain.
            B. Love Jesus and His message.
            C. He served us so we could be free to serve.
